Over the past week, New Directions services across the borough have been celebrating the Queens Platinum Jubilee in style. Services were transformed into parties of red white and blue, with crowns and tea galore!

Each service had its unique way of celebrating, Waterloo Park Day Care service held its own Variety Talent Show as well as having quizzes and party games. They also created their own jubilee decorations, especially for the festivities. It was wonderful to see people coming together and showing off their talents. Brookdale and James Dixon Court had musical entertainment. Both Theresa and Les performed music from the 1950s to the 1970s. The acts certainly got people up on their feet and dancing to the beat. North Hub Day service in Southport was treated to a magical extravaganza by Pete the magician. The residents at Supported Living came together for a garden party, where cake and tea were top priorities. Whilst our Woodlands Mental Health service enjoyed a traditional spread of sandwiches and sweet delights.

One thing that all services have in common was the love and joy that was in the air. All services were laughing, smiling and positive about being together again in celebration of a monumental occasion.

We are so very grateful for all the staff that made these events possible, The care and love that you show the people you support is out of the world and makes New Directions a key provider of choice across the Sefton Borough.
