On Thursday 23rd of March Waterloo Park took part in Marie Curie’s Wall of reflection to coincide with the National Day of Reflection. Over the past few weeks, they have been working on remembering friends who were lost during the covid period, not just through passing on but through leaving the service in that time. They recalled fondly the funny uplifting memories they had and things they used to say. The day was filled with warmth and affection as this valuable activity took them through many emotions, they were able to create two beautiful bright memory walls. They also paused for a minute’s silence and a beautiful Daffodil cupcake with a cup of tea. On this special day, they were also visited by a lady called Keeley from a local business on South Road called Vida who wanted to do a random act of kindness on this reflective day and gifted us with 10 bunches of the most beautiful flowers, which service users were able to take home to their families. We would like to thank Keeley from Vida so very much for her kindness.
