New Directions provides a range of day support services which promote independence, well-being and inclusion:

At the following locations we provide day support for people who have a range of needs due to age including those with early stages of dementia. Activities include: chair based exercises, current affairs discussions and debate, quizzes, lunches, afternoon teas, and trips out:

At Brookdale we deliver a specialist day support service for Older People who have a diagnosis of advanced dementia. This service is provided in partnership with Merseycare NHS Trust.

Training for Employment Opportunities

We have a number of projects, aligned to our day support services, where service users are supported to gain and develop skills and qualifications in horticulture, catering, textile and soft furnishing production, drama, self-advocacy and making of wooden garden and outdoor products.

Young People Moving On

New Directions can organise day support services specifically to meet the needs of vulnerable people who are leaving school and require individualised, ongoing support as they make the transition to adulthood, with an emphasis on learning and personal development in ordinary, community settings.
