We are looking for caring and self-motivated individuals who have a passion for improving people’s lives to join our highly reputable Reablement service. This service has been running in Sefton for a number of years and is highly reputable within the Sefton community; we support and work in partnership with the NHS and Sefton Council directly, to enable people to live independently at home for longer.
Being a Reablement Health Care Worker is so much more rewarding than you think. In this role, you aren’t taking care of people in a healthcare setting – you are helping them to manage their own personal care within their own homes. By focussing on abilities and outcomes, you are assisting them to improve their long-term independence.
The role means you will be supporting individuals who have been discharged from hospital or may have had an illness, crisis, fall at home or change in circumstances in relation to themselves or their carers. Our main aim is to help individuals gain confidence by working alongside them and sharing in their pride as they achieve goals and gain independence.
Joining our team means you will come across individuals from all walks of life, with diverse needs. You will learn new skills and be given an opportunity to gain a recognised qualification. We are looking for people who have a friendly, confident approach and when needed can work under pressure. A driver with own vehicle is essential.
As Sefton’s leading care provider, we currently employ around 400+ staff across the business who pride themselves on delivering high quality social care and support to vulnerable groups within the Sefton area.
The benefits on joining our team are as follows:
- Permanent contracted hours
- Paid, high quality training and Induction programme
- Pension with company contribution
- Company holiday pay (up to 35 days per year, after qualifying period)
- Free uniform
- Free smart phone (business use only)
- Paid travelling time between calls
- Free DBS check
- Ongoing support from a dedicated manager.
- Career progression
Day, evening and weekend shifts, therefore, must be flexible.
An Enhanced DBS Check is required.
Our core values:
- Big Hearted: we say that we are proud of the quality of care, empathy and kindness we offer to the people we support and each other
- Count on Us: we act in a way that you can rely on us to be able to meet the needs of the people we support and each other
- Together as One: we say that we take pride in working as a team to deliver a very person-centred service
- People Focused: we recognise the importance of transparency, trust, recognition and development within our workforce.
