MENTAL HEALTH AWARENESS WEEK

New Centre Stage performs their original production Labels!

Our award winning performing arts centre, New Centre Stage performed an original mental health awareness production titled “Labels”.

Using drama and powerful storytelling, Labels explored how mental health can often be shaped, judged, and “labelled” by the experiences and situations we face throughout life. The performance highlighted how everyday pressures, personal struggles, bullying and social expectations can contribute to a decline in mental wellbeing.

Our aim is to raise awareness, challenge stigma, and encourage open conversations around mental health. We believe that if we can inspire people to speak more openly, listen more compassionately, and support one another without judgement, then we have achieved our purpose.

The performance was delivered to some individuals who attend New Directions and the management team. It received incredibly positive feedback for its honesty, impact, and relevance.

We would now love the opportunity to offer Labels, more widely as part of Mental Health Awareness training across the company and throughout Sefton services, helping to continue important conversations around wellbeing, understanding, and compassion
