We’re thrilled to share some exciting news! Our dedication to changing lives has caught the attention of a local reporter, shining a spotlight on the positive impact our services have on individuals.
Here’s how it all unfolded:
During a Sefton Council meeting, Liverpool Echo reporter Elliot Jessett spotted our Annual Report and was impressed by the stories it contained. Intrigued to learn more, Elliot reached out to us, eager to hear firsthand about our work and meet the people we support.
A Whirlwind Tour of Our Services:
Elliot embarked on a whirlwind tour of our services, visiting three key locations:
- New Leaf in Southport (March 6th): Here, Elliot had the opportunity to chat with attendees and New Leaf’s lead, Stuart Heffy, gaining valuable insights into the centre’s impact.
- Shared Lives (March 7th): Who better to discuss the positive impact of Shared Lives than those who experience it firsthand? Elliot sat down for a conversation with Thomas and James, learning about their experiences with the program.
- New Centre Stage at South Hub (March 13th): This visit brought entertainment to the forefront! Elliot met with many of our performers at New Centre Stage, even enjoying an impromptu showcase from the Blood Brothers cast.
The Magic Highlighted:
The positive impact of our services is now in the spotlight! Elliot’s feature article dives deeper into the incredible work of our sensory garden centre New Leaf.
“The team works hard to support individuals with learning and physical difficulties in becoming as independent as possible and learning new skills. New Leaf provides enriched opportunities in the heart of the local community, and their recognition for their achievements is well-deserved”.
