We are extremely proud to tell you; South Hub is the oldest provider of adult social care day opportunities in the borough of Sefton and continuing to thrive. The service now operating through the ‘Living Well Programme’ which functions to enable and empower the people we support to become moreindependent, develop more control over their lives, and experience the physical, social, psychological and material benefits associated with their inclusion as valued members of their community.
South Hub knows how to put on a fantastic party, with those who attend the centre throughout the week and ex-members all there together, also joined by ex-staff over the years, family members and senior colleagues from Sefton adult social care.
The celebration opened with some speeches from the Ambassadors, who are a group of attendees of the service who advocate what the South Hub has to offer, sit on interview panels for new team members and conduct tours of the service to visits to nae but a few. Following this, guests were treated to a fun and uplifting video of many existing and people from the past talking about their memories of South Hub over the years!
Everyone enjoyed a wonderful buffet lunch and celebrated in style with a disco in the afternoon.
