Co-Production Week is an annual celebration of the magic that happens when we work together. It’s about recognising the invaluable expertise of people who use our services, their families, and carers. It’s a time to appreciate the positive impact of collaboration in shaping and developing the very services they rely on.
The Let’s Talk group, a student-led initiative, embodies the true spirit of co-production. These fantastic students – Alex, Kieran, Jackie, Peter, and Olivia – share the South Hub core values and are passionate about creating a better experience for everyone.
How are they making a difference through co-production?
- Peer Support: They leverage their experiences as day centre users to guide and support new students through the sometimes-daunting transition period.
- Warm Welcomes: They meet and greet new students and their families, answer questions, and offer tours, creating a welcoming and friendly atmosphere right from the start.
- Ongoing Support: They provide continuing support to new students, ensuring they feel comfortable, included, and part of the South Hub family.
- Shaping the Future: They actively participate in the interviewing process for new staff and apprentices, bringing valuable user perspectives to the table.
- Building a Brighter Future: They’re co-producing a new, family-friendly welcome pack for South Hub. This fantastic resource will answer common questions and make the transition even smoother. They’re even creating a co-produced video to go along with it!
We’re incredibly proud of the Let’s Talk group and their dedication to co-production.
