Macmillan Fundraising Throughout New Directions In October

New Directions has been busy supporting Macmillan Cancer Support throughout the last few months. Our teams across the organisation have gone above and beyond to raise funds for this incredible charity with coffee mornings (and afternoons). Our staff and those they support have shown outstanding dedication and creativity in co-producing events designed to give back.

Waterloo Park Older Adult Day Centre’s Macmillan Coffee Afternoon

Our Waterloo Park Older Adult Day Centre hosted a successful Macmillan Coffee Afternoon. The event featured delicious cakes, cuppers, a tombola, bingo, a name-the-monkey competition, and a raffle. While the final tally of funds raised is still being calculated, we’re ecstatic with the work everyone at Waterloo has done.

Waterloo raised a massive £515.96p that they are splitting between both Macmillan cancer research and Wear It Pink for breast cancer.

Reablement Team’s Macmillan Coffee Morning

Our Reablement team also organised a fantastic Macmillan Coffee Morning. The team baked up a storm, and everyone enjoyed delicious treats and great conversation. Thanks to their efforts, they raised an impressive £290.00 for Macmillan Cancer Support.

A Community-Wide Effort

These are just two examples of the many fundraising initiatives undertaken across New Directions. Our teams have shown incredible dedication and creativity in supporting this worthy cause. This ongoing commitment to charity is a testament to our values and we are proud to be a part of the community and to contribute to Macmillan Cancer Support’s important work.
