South Hub’s Fundraising at the Southport Flower Show: Childhood Memories

Our South Hub garden group participated in a co-produced exhibition celebrating the 100th anniversary of the Southport Flower Show. The group's stunning garden, themed "Childhood Memories," was a highlight of the event, captivating visitors with its design.

A Collaborative Effort

The creation of this exceptional installation was a true testament to the power of co-production. Staff and supported individuals at South Hub worked together seamlessly, sharing their ideas, skills, and passion to bring the vision to life. From the initial design to the final touches, every aspect of the installation resulted from collaboration and teamwork.

Fundraising for Zoe’s Place

In keeping with the exhibition’s theme of childhood, the group decided to fundraise for Zoe’s Place, a children’s hospice. Funds were raised through a ball-throwing game and a “make a wish” coin toss. The garden served as a beautiful backdrop for these fundraising activities, attracting visitors and encouraging donations.

A Testament to Creativity and Compassion

The South Hub garden group’s participation in the Southport Flower Show was a resounding success. Their garden was not only a visual delight but also a powerful symbol. By choosing to fundraise for Zoe’s Place, the group’s commitment has made a massive difference in the lives of children and their families.

A Community-Driven Initiative

The creation of this garden was a truly community-driven initiative. The South Hub garden group worked tirelessly to ensure that the garden reflected their values and the experiences of the people they support. The garden’s success is a testament to the power of collaboration, creativity, and compassion.
