SUPPORT WORKER

£23,929 – £26,594 pro rata
Sefton’s leading care provider, New Directions, is now recruiting for a Support Worker in Wavell Close, Southport. We currently employ around 350 staff across the business who pride themselves on delivering high quality social care and support to vulnerable groups within the Sefton area.
Our Supported Living Service comprises of 4 houses within the Sefton area, providing a home with support to adults who have varying support needs, enabling residents to live an independent life in their own home, usually as a tenant in the local community.
Wavell Close is a Supporting Living Service consisting of service users who live in the house as tenants. The service provision offers a personalised service to vulnerable adults, aged over 18 years who have learning disabilities and/or autism.
Our staff work closely with our residents to develop their knowledge and understanding of their rights as individuals, highlighting key community values of respect, choice, dignity, privacy and
stability.
Members of our Supported Living team are on hand to provide support with relationships, nurture opportunities to develop new skills and advise people on their finances, all of which enables tenants to live as independently as possible on an ongoing basis
The successful candidate will participate, on a rota basis, in the day to day running of the Supported Living Scheme, based at Wavell Close.
There is a requirement to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays in accordance with a planned rota.
Experience of working with vulnerable people in community or residential based settings is essential. A Level 2 Diploma in Health & Social Care or equivalent is also essential.
An Enhanced DBS Check is required.
