At New Directions, we pride ourselves on being the provider of choice for Care Services in the Sefton and Southport areas. Our success is not solely attributed to our organisation, rather, a result of the collaborative efforts of hundreds. Our staff, carers, and supported people form the backbone of our organisation. Without their unwavering support, we would not be the thriving entity we are today. New Directions offers opportunities for everyone to contribute.
During Co-Production Week, shot a series of videos that shine a light on some significant contributions.
Two of our exceptional services, Supported Living and Shared Lives, exemplify the essence of co-production. In both these programs, supported people reciprocate the support they receive daily. To showcase this remarkable collaboration, we invited three of our members to our head office for an insightful discussion. They discussed how they work hand in hand with New Directions to ensure the provision of the best possible care for all.
While it will take some time to finalise the videos, we encourage you to keep an eye out for their release in the coming weeks. One individual who has left an indelible mark on our organisation is James Ashton. James is a mischievous and vibrant member of our Shared Lives program. Many of you may remember James for the support he provided during our presence at the NCF conference.

James recently visited our Head office to discuss the ways he contributes to supporting New Directions. During our conversation, he shared his experiences at the NCF conference, highlighted his involvement in interviewing potential Shared Lives Officers, and discussed his pivotal role in the development of our specialist safeguarding training. As you can see in the photo, James repurposed our Managing Director Mark Fox’s jacket while he was in a meeting.

Co-Production Week is a time for us to reflect on the power of collaboration and the incredible impact it has on our organisation. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to all our staff, carers, and supported people who contribute their time, skills, and passion to New Directions. Together, we are creating a brighter future for those in need of care and support.
