The timing of the North Hub’s 2023 Achievement Awards was particularly meaningful, aligning with the International Day of Persons with Disabilities on December 3rd. This United Nations Day is observed annually to promote the rights and well-being of individuals with disabilities across all aspects of society and development.
International Day of Persons with Disabilities serves as a platform to raise awareness about the challenges faced by people with disabilities in political, social, economic, and cultural aspects of life. Joining hands with the World Health Organisation (WHO), the UN, and numerous other organisations, we emphasise the significance of ensuring the rights of people with disabilities.
As an organisation that aims to be the social care provider of choice for the Sefton area, our goal is to foster each individual’s full, equal, and effective participation in society, eliminating barriers in all aspects of their lives.
